Who Shames Who?

 If all I wanted was

Your body pressed against me

Would I feel lees naughty?

Would I feel less sick?

If all I wanted

Was a hand in marriage

Would I feel wiser?

Would I be more righteous?

All I ever wanted was You

All I ever needed was Us

But something had to come first

Dying; whispering in hospital sheets

A lesson was learned

How much pain

This Heart could hold

The only thing I've ever been told

You know now

How much you could need

That body never breaking down

The only thing I've ever been told

Shame on me

Because I want this Break

Becoming a Ghost

To hold a Spirit
